Stem cells offer a unique way of restoring form and function to the body. Unlike “embryonic” stem cells which are harvested from the embryo, adult stem cells reside in specific tissues of individuals such as bone marrow, nerves and fat. All stem cells have the inherent ability to differentiate into potentially any body cell, for example cartilage, heart or skin cells. The concentration of stem cells in fatty tissue is 500 times higher than in bone marrow. This exceptional quantity of stem cells in fat gives a particular advantage to fat as a stem cell producing product. The WAL system allows for gentle harvesting and separating of stem cells from fat and re-injecting these stem cells into the body to treat multiple conditions such as arthritis, cardiomyopathy, neurological disorders as well as ageing skin and scar treatment.
